Sabrine has been on the After-School Program staff since 2017 and has recently joined the Redeemer Preschool staff. She is fluent in French, Arabic and English and enjoys reading with the children. She holds a B.S.N. from the Nursing School in Tunis, Tunisia, and a Bachelor’s in Health Administration from George Mason University. Sabrine has experience tutoring students in French, providing homework assistance and engaging children in physical and health education. Her favorite pastimes are hiking and biking while exploring National Parks. Currently, she is studying for a Master’s in Health Informatic and Cyber Security.

Mike joined Redeemer Renaissance in 2018 after retiring from Fairfax County Public Schools Transportation after 40 years as a supervisor. His professional skills and dedication to providing safe bus transportation for children as they come to Redeemer and also go on field trips is unparalleled. In his free time, many of his hours are filled with activities as he cares for his four grandchildren; watching them grow up. Jack and Bailey, his two horses, are very happy to be his pets!

Soheyla began working at the After-School Program in 2018. She provides homework support and tutoring for students during their time at Redeemer. Currently, she is an FCPS employee at Churchill Roads Elementary School.

Amy graduated from the University of Virginia in 2013 and holds a graduate degree in education from George Mason University. Previously, she worked at Redeemer Renaissance Camps. In addition to tutoring at Redeemer Renaissance, Amy is an elementary school teacher for FCPS.

Victor Simonson, Composer, Music Director, Pianist. Mr. Simonson is a multi-disciplinary composer, conductor and pianist who is comfortable as a collaborator across many genres. As a composer, Mr. Simonson created the groundbreaking HIPHOPERA, Stomping Grounds that premiered at Glimmerglass Festival in 2017. many of Victor’s original songs and compositions can be heard on Victory (debut self-produced CD, 2008) and his musical arrangements and compositions were featured for the production of Amen Corner, at the Shakespeare Theater in February 2020.  Mr. Simonson also collaborated with Lester Lynch (On My Journey Now: Spirituals and Hymns, Pentatone Records). He served as collaborative pianist for Denyce Graves, Angela Brown, Richard Leech, Kate Aldrich and music directed Three Mo’ Tenors.  He toured as Associate Conductor of Oprah Winfrey’s The Color Purple and Memphis The Musical. He is set to join the creative team of American Prophet, the original story of Frederick Douglas at Arena Stage in Washington D.C in 2021. He studied voice, piano and composition at the Eastman School of Music and was nominated for the Helen Hayes Award for best musical direction (Three Mo’ Divas) in 2007. Abby Madden is a worship leader, composer, teacher and collaborator. Abby holds a BA in Music Composition and Percussion from Messiah College as well as a MA in Theology and the Arts from Wesley Theological Seminary. She currently serves as the Worship Coordinator for Haymarket Church in Haymarket VA where she directs and oversees all creative aspects of worship. Currently living in Alexandria VA, Abby teaches piano and percussion in the DC area. In her free time she enjoys kayaking, hiking, attending concerts and learning how to cook new things. Billy Kluttz works as Director of Music at Church of the Pilgrims in Washington, DC and Evening Service Coordinator at Immanuel Presbyterian Church (USA) in McLean, VA. He studied organ and vocal performance at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Fumiko is native of Yamaguchi and Kobe, Japan, Mrs. Reeder is a graduate of St. Catherine University in Matsuyama, Japan where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance. After moving to the United States, she studied piano performance at Taccoa Falls College in Taccoa, Georgia. She currently holds memberships with the American College of Musicians and the National Guild of Piano Teachers, to which she was named on the “National Honor Roll” in 1999. An accomplished pianist and teacher, Mrs. Reeder’s piano students have received national recognition from the National Guild of Piano Teachers, the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), the Society of American Musicians and the National Arts Recognition Program.

Anastasia Christofakis enjoys an active career as a soloist, chamber musician, and educator. Anastasia has presented solo and chamber performances at numerous universities, conferences, and music festivals. She has been invited to play with the Charlottesville Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and Pensacola Symphony. Dr. Christofakis is an advocate of new music, believing strongly in the commissioning of new works, and is a member of new music ensemble What is Noise. In addition, she was the winner of the Presser Music Award for her project relating to Armenian music. She received her Doctor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance at Florida State University, her Master’s degree in Clarinet Performance from Roosevelt University and her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from James Madison University.

As a teacher, I hope to create a learning environment where my students feel safe and welcome to grow as musicians and as people. A positive student-teacher relationship in a is vital to student progress. My goal as a teacher is to foster lasting relationships within the walls of our own studio. In this way, the lessons that are taught and learned become a part of who we are and are carried with us forever.
